Jazz Band

The CHS Jazz Band is an extra-curricular instrumental music ensemble that studies and perform the various styles of jazz. Emphasis is placed on improvisation skills and ensemble performance technique. Members of the CHS Jazz Band will perform different forms of jazz, including (but not limited to) swing, funk, blues, bossa nova, rock, and bebop.

Emphasis is placed on traditional jazz band instrumentation (Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Drums, Bass, Piano, Guitar), but students of all instruments are welcome to participate.

Public and outside of the day performances are a requirement of this ensemble.
