Rowan College at Burlington County


This is a courtesy provided through a partnership between Cinnaminson and Rowan College at Burlington County.  There will be several announcements made prior to each step of the program, but stay in touch with your school counselor anyway!

FALL INFORMATION SESSION                               

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Representatives from Rowan College at Burlington County will visit CHS and speak to students interested in attending the college. They will provide information on academic programs, costs, transferring to four-year colleges, etc. 

Students must sign up in the guidance office in order to attend.  They will receive passes in homeroom the day of the visit to attend the presentation.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Students must apply online to RCBC prior to taking the Accuplacer Test.  Once your application is completed and submitted you must log in to Naviance/Family Connection to request your transcript be sent to RCBC.  (See TRANSCRIPT section.)

If a student scores a 450 or higher on the SAT Evidenced-Based Reading and 500 and/or higher on the SAT Math, or has scores of 23 on the ACT Reading and/or 20 on the ACT Math or 23 Composite score, he/she will be exempt from taking one or both Accuplacer Tests.  Also if a student scores a 4 or 5 on either PARCC Math or ELA he/she will be exempt from taking the Accuplacer Test.

Students are required to take the Accuplacer Test to determine Math and English course placement at RCBC.  This test will be administered at CHS.  The exact time of the Accuplacer Test will be announced and posted at least two weeks ahead of time.​​​​​​​

REGISTRATION VISIT

Students who applied to RCBC and took the Accuplacer Test are eligible for the registration trip to the college.  Please sign up in the guidance office no later than mid-March!

A bus will leave from CHS during the school day and take students to the college.  They will attend a brief orientation about RCBC, meet with Academic Advisors to review course placement, and visit the Registrar to sign up for classes.  You will be billed at a later date.

Students who do not participate in the Spring Ahead Program must apply to RCBC, take the Accuplacer Test, meet with an advisor, and register for courses on their own.
