As part of an ongoing focus on Cinnaminson High School’s culture, each month we decide upon one attribute that will be our focus. We will promote this in different ways by giving the students AND staff specific, yet simple, ways to model this behavior.
For the months of MAY and JUNE, the focus is PRIDE. Pride is a feeling of satisfaction derived from one's own accomplishments or membership within an organization. As a faculty, we take great PRIDE in our students' academic accomplishments, our athletes’ success, and our performing arts. Our students are proud of their accomplishments, identity as a member of a class, and being a pirate.
Here are some ways to show your PRIDE:
Show your school spirit by participating in the Red and Black games
Do your best on the upcoming AP exams and final exams
Spread the word about the great things we do at Cinnaminson High School
Recognize your favorite teacher or staff member by nominating them for a Golden Apple
Please help us by encouraging your child(ren) to demonstrate these simple acts each month. We look forward to fostering a culture of Commitment, Honor, and Spirit at CHS!

Hard to believe June is here! May ended with a fabulous and impactful AAPI history month celebration hosted by our AAPI affinity students with the support of their adviser, Rob Becker. The energy is high with celebrations abound! Before we celebrate the end of a school year let's look at this month's cultural celebrations. June is LGBTQ & PRIDE month honoring the history, struggles, and achievements of the queer community. Click here for a list of PRIDE events in the Philly area and click here for a list for NJ PRIDE events. National Caribbean American Heritage Month recognizes the rich culture, vast histories, and contributions of Caribbean people to the United States. Visit the Caribbean American Heritage month site to learn more and see what exciting activities are in your area to celebrate the rich and vibrant cultures of our Caribbean family, friends, co workers, and neighbors. Since 1975 The Odunde festival in Philadelphia has grown from a neighborhood celebration into the largest African American street festival in North America. Juneteenth 2026 is the holiday that originates from June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the end of the Civil War and the end of slavery—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. As a federal holiday, it is widely celebrated across the United States with community festivals, parades, and historical events. Come out to Wood Park in Cinnaminson for the Juneteenth Celebration of Culture. Moving onto other celebrations, Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month is a global campaign to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Folks are encouraged to wear purple and share their stories to support the millions of people affected by this progressive neurological condition. Visit the Alzheimer's Association website for more information on how you can support this important cause. National PTSD Awareness this month raises awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder and uplifts the voices of trauma survivors and veterans. World Oceans Day, Sea turtle day, and World Environment month come in the month of June reminding us of the importance of water conservation and to honor the work of the water protectors who came before us. Of course we have to remember all the Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles and brothers on Father's day celebrated on June 21st this year. We cannot close without wishing all of the 2026 graduates a memorable graduation and sending along a reminder that the future is theirs to continue strengthening their selves so they can shine through their next steps. As we look back on the concluding academic year, we are filled with immense gratitude for the collective effort that made our mission possible. We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who supported our work this year, from the local businesses that provided resources and sponsorships to the dedicated students' families who partnered with us in the educational

The baseball team finished the season with an 11-14 record. The boys rallied late in the year to qualify for the state playoffs. The team was young and didn’t have much experience coming into the season, but learned lots of valuable lessons and will have games under their belt going into next year. Sophomore Gavin Bobrek was named a 1st team all conference performer in the BCSL as an outfielder. Hunter Kearney, Matt Dever, Jacob DeJoseph, Alex Kidd, and Willie Ruiz were all named to the 2nd team. The Pirates will return 14 contributors from this year's campaign next season, and are going to work extremely hard to continue to improve in all facets this off-season.

|
The golf team finished their season with a 16-1 record and captured the BCSL division title. Jackson Lane and Tyler Harris were named to 1st team all division, and JP McDevitt and Gavin Lane were named to 2nd team all division. As a team, they also won the BCSL Open and the Burlington County Open. Individually, Tyler Harris got 8th place in the prestigious Garden State Cup, which has members from 24 of the best teams in the state. Also individually, Jackson Lane won the BCSL Open, the Burlington County Open, and the Carl Arena tournament, which has every team from South Jersey in it. Jackson also set a BCSL record by shooting a 62 in the BCSL Open, was only the 2nd golfer ever from Cinnaminson to win the Burlington County Open, and was the first golfer in school history to win the Carl Arena.

The Boys Lacrosse team finished their 2026 season with a record of 9-6 and advanced as far as the first round of the SJ Group 2 playoffs. The Pirates were able to sweep both of their cross-town rivals, Delran and Holy Cross Prep, this year, and ultimately showed grit and determination throughout the whole season (After losing several key starters due to injury). Several players received BCSL postseason honors, with first team awards going to Senior Dom Delgrippo, Senior Joao Santana, Junior Jake Barbich, and Freshman Marco Zuccarelli. Second team awards were handed out to Senior Christian Feeley, Senior Ryan Eckard, Senior Aedan Burk, Senior JJ Straub, and Senior Zion Brooks. The Boys Lacrosse program here at Cinnaminson has an extremely bright future ahead of them with a huge group of underclassmen leading us forward and key returners looking to solidify their careers with another title. To all the seniors graduating, the coaches, families, and returning players all wish you the best and can not wait to see how your futures play out.

The softball team finished with a record of 13-12 on the season and made it to the second round of the SJ Group 2 playoffs. The team enjoyed big wins over division rival Delran, Rancocas Valley, and a walk-off win on senior night against Lenape. There were a number of individual accomplishments this season, including program records that were broken, first and second-team All BCSL Liberty team selections, as well as two All South Jersey selections. The program would like to thank its five seniors, Lauren Cammarota, Maura Del Grippo, Haley Gedling, Delaney Kroll, and Mia Zuccarelli, for their time and dedication over the last four years. They have all left a lasting mark that will never be forgotten. We look forward to following all they accomplish in the next chapter of their lives.

The boys' tennis team finished the season at 12-6. It is an impressive season, especially with 1 junior, 6 sophomores, & 1 freshman on the varsity squad. The 1st doubles squad, Aidan Barrett & Sean McCormick, have won 28 matches in 2 years, while James Coller won a team-high 11 matches in singles play. Sean McCormick & Nathan Calhoun made it to the BCSL Open Finals. The Pirates are looking forward to 2027.

The boys' track team finished off the season with a number of standout performances during the championship season. The team took 2nd place overall at the Group 2 Central Sectional Championships, despite dealing with a long commute and prom the first day of the competition. Max Frey defended his sectional title, then had to hustle to get one dance in before prom ended. The 4x800 team of Jacob Wickersham, Owen Castanheira, Edward Abu-Adas, and Ryan Scariciottotoli captured the crown in a thrilling race. Jake and Edward also qualified for the state meet in the 3200. Leland Locke, Victor Bastos, and Shafiq Herrington were also state qualifiers in their respective events, in addition to the 4x00 relay team of Dylan Burk, Bastos, CJ DePhillippo, and Gabe Waters. At the Group 2 State Championships, the team had a number of solid performances. Max took 3rd in the PV and qualified for the Meet of Champions. The 4x800 team placed 4th, and Shafiq placed 5th in the HJ and 6th in the TJ.

The girls track team season came to an end at the NJSIAA Group 2 Track meet at Northern Burlington County Regional on 5/29-5/30. Throughout April and early May, the Girls Track & Field team delivered a series of elite performances, beginning with podium finishes at the Moorestown Invitational, Lenape Field Day, and Woodbury Relays. The momentum surged at Cherokee High, where the 4x100 relay team secured first-place finishes, followed by a dominant home-hosted senior night.
The team reached a season peak by scoring 212 points to become Patriot Division Champions, while standout athletes like Shiloh Moore, Sephora Cenet, Karizma Strigel and Samantha DeBarberie continued to shine at the Burlington County Championships. As the program prepares for the NJSIAA Sectional Meet on May 15th and 16th, the athletes face a difficult decision of competing in Sectionals or attending their prom. The scheduling conflict will limit junior, senior and some sophomore athlete availability, therefore the team will not get to contend for a sectional title as expected. Despite the conflict the team will remain poised to demonstrate their exceptional growth and competitive spirit throughout the final stretch of the championship season.

The volleyball team finished their season with an 18-9 record and the patriot division champion. The Boys finished the season ranked the 6 seed in group 2 south for the playoffs, and after beating Triton High School in the first round, lost to Pinelands high school in the second round 3-1. 6 members of the team were on the 1st or 2nd teams for the division, with Russell Patchell, Nate Heim and Jaiden Ship on the first team, and Alex McGettigan, Chris Leetz and Brett Hess on the second team.

The CHS Play Unified Track team had a fantastic end of their season this month! Our first appearance at the Delsea HS Invitational Meet resulted in Isiah Phillips taking 1st Place in Shot Put (40’6”) and 1st Place in the 100M (12.3 seconds). Ciaran Gallagher took 3rd Place in the 200M (31.3)
The team had its last meet at Pennsauken HS and every athlete & partner gave 100% of their heart to their events and teammates. Shoutout to Isaiah Phillips for placing 1st in the 200M, & Alex Chomicz & Gabby DiMaio threw 20’ in the Shot put. Aiden Karashian helped his 4x100 relay team place 1st in their heat. Ciaran Gallagher ran an impressive 17.4 in his 100 M. Thank you to our partners who were supportive all season. Congratulations all on a wonderful season!

The Indoor Drumline & Indoor Color Guard finished up their 3rd season with two outstanding performances at the TIA Championships in Wildwood, NJ. The drumline made it to the finals for the 2nd consecutive year and moved up a spot to take the bronze medal in the Scholastic Regional Division. It was a banner year for both groups in terms of student participation, community involvement, and competition performance. Highlights of the year include the Cinnaminson Little League baseball parade, the Bridgesburg Memorial Day parade, and the formation of the Cinnaminson Middle School Drumline. Both groups will look to keep the momentum going this fall with the Cinnaminson Marching Band in our 2026 Show entitled “Ex Machina.”

Congratulations to all the Cinnaminson Pirates who are taking their athletic talents to the next level! This achievement is a testament to your hard work and dedication. Did you know that less than 7% of high school athletes compete at the collegiate level, making your accomplishment even more remarkable? Whether you're heading to a Division I, II, or III program, remember that every step you take reflects the spirit and pride of Cinnaminson. As you embark on this exciting journey, know that you carry the legacy of the Pirates with you, and we wish you all the success in your future endeavors.
Once a Pirate, always a Pirate!

As we approach the conclusion of a successful spring sports season, I want to take a moment to highlight the crucial connection between academics and athletics at Cinnaminson High School. They prove every day that academic achievement is not merely an option—it is a fundamental part of their journey.
During the winter season, our teams participated in the Principal’s Challenge, which averaged student GPAs across Quarters 2 and 3. Our boys' and girls' winter sports teams engaged in spirited academic competition, and I am thrilled to share the outstanding final results:
🏆 Winter Sports Team GPAs
Boys Teams
- Winter Track: 86.57 (Highest Boys GPA!)
- Swimming: 86.04
- Wrestling: 84.86
- Basketball: 84.48
- Bowling: 84.15
Girls Teams
- Basketball: 89.30 (Highest Girls GPA!)
- Winter Cheer: 88.22
- Bowling: 84.90
- Wrestling: 82.41
A huge congratulations to our Boys Winter Track team and our Girls Basketball team for leading their respective divisions! Your hard work and commitment to balancing the classroom with the court, mat, track, and pool are truly commendable.
As the spring sports season winds down and the 4th quarter wraps up, I encourage all of our student-athletes to maintain this incredible focus. I am excited to see how our spring teams performed in the classroom once the final grades are tallied.
Thank you to our parents, coaches, and staff for your continued support and dedication to fostering excellence in both academics and athletics within the Cinnaminson community.

If your child is absent or late to school, written verification to satisfy the requirements of the attendance policy must be submitted to the Attendance Office within two school days, by 8:00 AM on the third day, if the request of the absence is to be considered excused. This is a particular concern when calculating Winner’s Circle.
|
|
For those driving children to and from school each morning, please ensure that you follow all posted speed limits and drive safely through the surrounding neighborhoods when driving to and from school each day. We all are responsible for ensuring all children arrive at their respective schools safely each morning.
|
Please remember that students are to be dropped off in the lane in front of the school only. Students are not to be dropped off in the parking lot. We want to make sure that students arrive at school as safely and efficiently as possible. Dropping off students in the parking lot increases the interactions between cars and students and delays the main drop-off line as more students need to cross the drop-off lane in the crosswalk.

ESEA Section 8528 outlines provisions that give military recruiters the same access to secondary school students as recruiters from postsecondary institutions or prospective employers (e.g., college fairs, job fairs) and, when requested, requires LEAs to provide students’ names, addresses, electronic mail addresses, and telephone numbers to military recruiters. Parents who do not wish the district to provide name, address, and email information with military recruiters must notify the school in writing. A sample opt-out letter is available at the following link:

For the safety of your children, we will be requiring that when a student is released from school on an Early Dismissal for any reason, any person (including the parent) picking up your child must present photo identification. As a reminder, we will only release your child to a parent/guardian or emergency contact. Again, this is for the safety of your children.
|
|
Parents who are picking up your child/children after practice/games, please do not park and wait in the lane of traffic in front of the gymnasium. Please park in the parking lot and wait for your child. Parking in the lane of traffic causes safety issues on many levels. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

All Young Men Who Are 18 Years Old, Or About To Turn 18: You are legally obligated to register with Selective Service. By registering you add your name to a list of all men in the nation 18-25. The list would be used to identify men for possible military service in case of a national emergency. You must also register with Selective Service to receive Federal Student Aid for college. The law says that all 18-year-old men must register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. You can register with Selective Service in less than 2 minutes via the internet at: www.sss.gov, or you can go to the Post Office and complete a registration form. You can also register online when filling out your FASFA. It’s quick, easy and the law.
